ps if you want to find a holy enlightened teacher in portand oregon to begin your work on kabbalah a good starting point would be reb david zaslow who spends most of his time in portland when he's not in boston working with a holy jewish community called b'nai or (people of the light) or in uganda working with sister rosmarie or doing other traveling gigs even as you are.
Yes! Happy Birth-day! One addition to previous post is that if any and all of us want to totally avoid the possibility of being a victim we need to learn the lessons of the Tree of Life on a group level and ultimately with the entire world davka including all victimizers and victims and victim-victimizers. And as you're already learning, learning the tree of life and all of life needs to be in the body and on an experiential basis, not just on a thinking level.
